LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION
Villa Pitiana is situated at 430m above sea level and its imposing structure divides the last olive groves of Valdarno from the centuries-old trees of the Vallombrosa. The yellow colour dominates the image of the Villa: the countryside around the villa is dotted with yellow too, the colours of the Roman camomile, yarrow and dandelion flowers: their colours and scents crown the other plants sweetening the strict green colour of the large woods of the property climbing up the mountain till reaching the Pratomagno edge.
At evening the yellow colour is spread throughout by the lights of the old golden lamps and amplified by the festoons of crystal in the hall and dining room.
The villa still retains the articulated architecture of a millenary history, architecture, decorations and furniture maintain memory of flowing of ages and styles.
Villa Pitiana park originates from the XIX century renovations which changed the estate from a farmhouse to a Villa. The arboretum is rich of non-native trees as typical of English arboretums during the end of last century. The arboretum is in the nearby of the Villa and it is one of the most important in Tuscany together with the one in Vallombrosa.
WEDDINGS
The monastery dates back to XIII century and was enlarged during XVIII century making it into an impressive Villa whose elegant proportions are the same as present ones.
Only 25 minutes far away from Florence, Villa Pitiana welcomes its guests in uncontaminated place, marked by history and nested in the nature. Villa Pitiana offers the possibility of a blessing in the Medieval cloister, in the garden, in one of the inner halls or in one of the romanesque churches pread in the Villa neighbourhood. The Villa welcomes guests with the particular atmosphere created by its Medieval cloister, its Rococo Chapel still consecrated, its the swimming-pool with its solarium and its gorgeous panorama.

The exclusive room in the Medieval Tower, Junior suites with a view over Valdarno landscape, Superior rooms with antique furniture and Classic rooms. Additional rooms are available in the farm-houses inside Villa Pitiana estate.
Beside the rooms, Villa Pitiana wide spaces have been divided into 2-room and 3-room apartments with cooking facilities and living rooms. Apartments are offered either on self-catering or hotel-service basis. Other apartments are available in the farm-houses within Villa Pitiana estate.
The restaurant, indoor, it’s caractherized by its refined local menu. Everything is framed by the historical park created at the end of XIX century.
