The original settlement was probably built around the 8th century and, as it can be seen today, little has changed from when it was a hamlet in the Tuscany countryside inhabited by a small community. The chapel in the center of the square, the surrounding houses, e narrow little streets, the small churches, the Romanic church and the palace which belonged to the owners of the village, the Taja family which ruled this part of Tuscany up to the 18th century. In 1991, after careful restoration, the village was transformed into a prestigious multi-site hotel.

The wedding ceremony can be held in our 8th-century Romanic church or overlooking the Luxury Villa Tuscany 1’s little square in the charming 18th-century Cappella della Maddalena.

As well as beauty treatments and massages, the Luxury Villa Tuscany 1 offer the wine therapy experience: a bath in essences of must products which are rich in polyphenols that help regenerate the skin. The treatment ends with a massage with oils. There are endless things to do in the Villa: the Wellness Centre, tennis, swimming in the pool, the cooking school and visits to wine cellars with tastings of the wines produced there. And in the immediate environs it is possible to enjoy horse riding, trekking, visits to local vineyards, shopping in high fashion boutiques and outlets as well as cultural visits.
ROOMS
The rooms in the Villa are atmospheric and refined. Some are in the old Palace building while others are in the various houses around the main square. The Villa has 29 rooms and 16 suites and 1 Suite Prestige: although they are of different sizes they all enjoy the same attention to detail and each of them is furnished with period Tuscan hand-crafted furniture and precious fabrics. The result is an ambience, which married to the highest levels of comfort, and welcomes guests in a warm embrace.
WHERE
The Luxury Villa Tuscany 1 is in the municipality of Castelnuovo Berardenga, in the southern part of the Chianti Classico area, twenty kilometers from Siena. Its location is ideal for excursions to San Gimignano and Volterra, Florence, Arezzo, Montepulciano and Montalcino.
