Monastery Tuscany 1 is an extraordinary Franciscan monastery of XIII century, beautifully restored in 2008, bringing to life an enchanted place.
From the cloister covered with frescoed halls and stone floors, you can experience the flavor and atmosphere of history and charm: with philological passion were brought to light the signs and details of a thousand years of history without losing the modern comforts. The old medieval gate, introduces the enchanted atmosphere of the cloister, a continuum of medieval and Renaissance elements, characterized by the elegant Ionic columns and capitals based fifteenth century, which has within it. The Cloister is the heart of the Monastery, on which overlook the Refectory, the Chapter House, the Hall of Saints, in a series of living rooms frescoed with representations that make us go through extraordinary periods of history from the fourteenth century to the Renaissance, but also lounges with original wooden coffered ceilings, rooms with high ceilings.
WEDDING SERVICES
Monastery Tuscany 1 is surrounded by an old garden, once the garden of the monks, but also the White Tasso gardens in Belvedere, where you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Val d'Orcia, Radicofani, and an extraordinary Tuscany.
A unique place for your special event, with its large covered cloister and L'Antico Pozzo, the gardens, the beautiful halls and lounges with frescoes, a journey in a timeless era where your wedding will live unforgettable moments that will last in time, forever!
The Monastery can host up to 150 people seated, the Sala Capitolare e la Sala dei Santi both up to 60. At the Monastery Tuscany 1 you can get married with both civil and religious ceremony. For those who choose the religious ceremony, it is possible to use the church next to the convent, for those who choose instead a civil ritual, it is possible to perform the ceremony in the impressive Rock of Piancastagnaio, a few meters from the convent, and continue the celebrations within the Monastery.
ROOMS
During the meticulous restoration, 12 guest rooms were brought to the light, beautifully furnished with romantic antique wood beamed ceilings, all with private bathroom where cotton and linen old spoil your relaxation. Guests can choose to stay in one of four suites, once used as a the library, the infirmary and the study-room of the monks, or they can decide to sleep in the old cells of the Franciscan monks overlooking the cloister, or they can even get one of the two rooms of the depandance, which is located directly in the garden.
WHERE
The monastery is located along the slopes of Monte Amiata, a few kilometers from Siena. Mount Amiata shows its unmistakable profile even to those who observe it from a distance. On a clear day you can see it even from the coast and the island of Giglio Uccellina, or the Chianti hills and rocks Terminillo, and from the beautiful Lake Trasimeno and Lake Bolsena.
